RISE and Texans SC Announce Merger

RISE SC and Texans SC are excited to announce the merger of their proud organizations in an endeavor to build one of the country’s strongest youth soccer programs.

The Texans SC are a nationally-recognized youth soccer organization with an unparalleled legacy, committed to serving exclusively boys soccer players in the North Houston area. The Texans SC are a perennial powerhouse in state, regional and national competitions regularly placing boys into the U.S. Youth National Team pools, top-tier collegiate men’s soccer programs, and into the professional soccer ranks at an unmatched rate. In 2017, the Texans SC were crowned as the U-19 U.S. Soccer Development Academy National Champions. The Texans SC are full members of both the boys U.S. Soccer Development Academy (DA) Program and the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL).

RISE has a rapidly ascending reputation as an elite youth soccer organization serving the Central and Southwest Houston areas. RISE owns facilities in the heart of Houston and has developed youth athletes from the beginner levels all the way to the U.S. Youth National team levels. Although the merger takes effect immediately, the two clubs will continue to operate under their current names, RISE and Texans SC, for the balance of Spring 2019 season. Effective in the Fall 2019/2020 season, the boys program will play under the” RISE – Texans” banner in the boys Development Academy (DA) and ECNL programs. The rest of our girls and boys teams will operate under the RISE brand.

A collaboration of this scale is done first and foremost with the interest of our players, families, coaching staffs, and respective communities in mind. In a city as large as Houston, we want to make sure soccer is easily accessible for players and comes with sensible commute times. By working together with Challenge Soccer Club, we were able to secure the continued use of Burroughs Park, Lindsay Lyons, and Mueschke Park/Sandlot for our boys teams in the North.

RISE will offer boys and girls of all ages the training and development they need to reach their athletic aspirations. RISE is committed to providing quality programming for every level of soccer player. Through the combined programs, RISE players will be able to participate in community based youth soccer programming from the recreational level all the way through the competitive leagues which include the:

  • RISE in-house Recreational League
  • Houston Youth Soccer Association (HYSA)
  • Dynamo/Dash Youth League (DDL)
  • STYSA State Classic League
  • USYS National League Frontier Conference
  • USYS National League
  • Player Development Friendlies (PDF)
  • United Soccer Clubs (USC)
  • Elite Clubs National League (ECNL)
  • U.S. Soccer Development Academy (DA)

On a combined basis, the program will serve over 4,500 youth athletes.

Registration for the RISE Recreational program will open in mid-April, and tryouts for RISE’s JR. Academy, Select, Premier, ECNL and DA programs will take place in May and June. Stay tuned, and thank you for helping shape our future!
